Franchesca Winters studied English and journalism at Emory University. After graduation, she joined Teach For America and taught 7th grade science in Charlotte, North Carolina before moving back to Atlanta to pursue a career in the film industry. Franchesca is now a Directors Guild of America 2nd Assistant Director best known for her work on _Stranger Things (2016)_ and _The Walking Dead (2010)_.
