Golden Globe nominee Angel Tompkins was one of the most beautiful and hard working actresses in the seventies and eighties. After modeling successfully in Chicago, Angel transitioned to film in in the late 1960s. She made an accomplished and notable film debut as the seductive blonde who comes between husband and wife Elliott Gould and Brenda Vaccaro in the comedy I Love My Wife (1970). Angel experienced almost Bo Derek-like attention as Gould's mistress and earned a Golden Globe nomination for "Best Newcomer". The camera obviously loved her and she immediately went into a slew of projects, but the amount of great quality projects for female bombshells were few and far between in those days. Angel went on to appear in a slew of films and racked up sizable amounts of screen time in guest star roles on television.
